I’m Daisy Naʻea Kealohi Stevens, a linguist based in Tromsø, Norway, with a background in third language acquisition and cross-linguistic influence.
My master’s research involved the full research pipeline, from experimental and study design through participant recruitment, data collection, and statistical analysis in R. I’m comfortable working with real-world data and communicating findings clearly to both specialist and general audiences.
Alongside my linguistics background, I work with Python and R, and I have a practical interest in data infrastructure and self-hosted systems.
When I’m not doing the above, I run Tusenfrygd Games, my indie TTRPG label, where I’m currently developing Windlight.
Languages
As a linguist, language learning is what I study; as a lover of languages, it’s what drives me. Here is a brief overview of the languages that I speak, am actively learning, and some of the ones that I’ve studied out of curiosity or as they related to my education.
